Spring Fun!

Well....in pure Evie fashion it has been quite a while since I last wrote. I've been a little bit busy working and hanging out with the awesome group of friends I have made here in West Virginia.

 

Seriously this spring has been so much fun! The group of friends I have made here in Fairmont West Virginia are the best! We have fun Family Home Evenings every Monday and we just meet up and hang out and do fun things all the time! We just enjoy spending time together and we all get along so well. We have fun doing different things together and always seem to end up playing Just Dance. So anyway here are some pictures from this past spring of the fairmont group!

This group of friends that I have gained in the past few months have been amazing! I don't think my life would be the same without each one of them. We all bring differences to the table and we are all learning from one another. So I think that I am going to start a blog for our group...and I will explain more about each member of the group so make sure you head over there and read more about us! Anyway these are some of the things I have been up to this spring! It has been so much fun and I really am enjoying the small adventures that have come to me....remember its all about enjoying the journey!

Jackson's Mill 2014!

This past weekend I was able to attend a young single adult conference! It was my first experience attending something like this, I mean besides youth conference when I was younger! It was such a fun and wonderful weekend! It was filled with meeting new friends and getting to know more about the group of friends I already have! It was filled with getting little sleep and staying up late! I don't think I've laughed so much in the past couple of months! I loved every minute! 

The weekend was filled with a bunch of different activities and classes. I attended a self defense class and a Zumba class! It was so much fun! Just laughing and having fun withJescha and Heather was some of the best moments! Heather and I being so tired that we barely made it back to our cabin...that was a sight I'm sure! Good thing it was so dark! Anyway, we also had the opportunity to play different sports like basketball(which I kicked butt) and soccer(which I didn't kick butt...oh well). It was super fun! We also star gazed on Saturday night! It was a big group on a bunch of blankets! It was probably my favorite time at the conference! Just laughing and joking and talking! Anyway instead of writing more about it I'll just post pictures of us enjoying the journey together!

As you can see we had such a wonderful experience! I can't wait to have more adventures with the new friends I've met and keep on getting to know the group of friends I already had! I'm enjoying the journey of this year so far. Heavenly Father keeps putting great things and blessings in my life! As I look around and realize the things I'm able to do and the things I've been given I've realized these things are what really matters! And it starts with being grateful and happy with the good things in your life! Guys join me in looking around and learning to enjoy this wonderful journey of life! As you do, it will change how you see things and help you enjoy the simple things in life that matter the most! 

Adventures of Evie and Jescha!

Yes Jescha you have officially made it into a title of one of my blog posts! How did you get so lucky?! No but really I'm the lucky one to have gotten to know you and that we have become such great friends! 

On Saturday, March 8, we journeyed to Pittsburgh for Disney On Ice! It was my birthday present to Jescha! Disney on ice was amazing this year! We had so much fun exploring at the consol energy center and taking pictures with the hockey team! 

I love hockey!

It's a small world after all! 

It was an amazing show and we loved every minute! After the show we decided we would eat lunch at a place called Primanti Brothers! For those of you who arnt from around here, Primanti brothers is amazing! Back in the day, the coal miners would put everything on their sandwich to make it easier for them. So basically they put everything on the sandwich. You pick the meat and they put the fries and coleslaw on it. The sandwich is huge!

After filling up on Primanti Brothers we walked the Strip! It's basically like an open market! Awesome fresh food and cheap shirts and different things everywhere!
