It's May!

This time last year...I was coming home from my mission! Has it seriously been a whole year! It has flown right on by!

I have been so busy with school, that I haven't had enough time to blog. School is going awesome! I just started into Anatomy and Physiology! So my days and most nights are filled with studying how the body works. Pretty amazing stuff! I'm learning a lot and doing very well on the tests!

School and studying have pretty much taken over my life. Sometimes I get to hang out with Cavin! He is getting so big and learning how to walk and other things!

Here he is!

We even went on a walk with papa

This month I'm also missing kaden!

I taught him to crinkle his nose!

This past weekend, my parents went out of town and I was all alone! Of course when they leave crazy things happen. This time it was a crazy windstorm! It destroyed our backyard and even broke our fence!

I was able to fix it with the help of my neighbor rod low! I survived!

The Stanley cup for hockey has started! So I've been watching some fun games! I'm rooting for a few teams! I love hockey!
Go red wings!!

It's that time again.......school here I come!

Well finally the waiting is over and the next chapter of my life is starting! I will be attending the Medical Assisting program at Bridgerland Area Technical College starting on the 8th! I'm so excited to finally be starting after being on the waiting list for 5 long months! So all of my money I have earned lately has gone to the tuition and books and new this year the scrub uniforms. So once again I find myself broke but all for a great cause of course!

Here is a look at the cool scrubs I will be living in for the next while!

I think I will be looking pretty spiffy!

Of course while attending school we are weighed down by a ton of textbooks! I'm still in the process of finding my backpack to carry them all! Maybe a suit case will be big enough! But here is mostly where all my hard earned cash went too! The cost of books is ridiculous!

Here is my load!
And this is only for the first half of the program!

The program should take me about 10 months or so. The class times are monday through friday 8am to 3 30 pm. I will be putting in the long hours so I can finish up quick! It will be a fun chapter of my life and I know I will learn so much! I am going to rock this program! They won't even know what hit them! Wish me luck guys!

Almost the first day of school!

Disney on Ice!

Okay I know...I said that I would try the post a day challenge,But as you can see I have failed already and I only posted on day 1. So I figured I would just post like I always do...every few weeks or when something big happens!

This past weekend I went to Disney on Ice! I went with a friend of mine named Nicole Tillman. We served in the same mission but we never had the privilege of being companions! So Friday morning I headed down to Salt Lake and we headed into the magic of Disney on Ice. The skaters were really talented and what better way to spend the afternoon than with the all the disney characters and princesses!

Here is a taste of some of the magic!

Dare to Dream was the theme!

That is a good overview of the show!
Tangled was the best part!

Of course we had to buy a few things and cotton candy of course! The cotton candy came with an awesome crown!

 We are so cool!

Me and the awesome crown!

 We had awesome seats!
Nicole and the 12 dollar cotton candy!
I guess they can get away with that price because they included a crown!

After the show, we headed over to the Bettie Page store and I really really wanted to purchase a few of their new dress styles for spring but luckily I was able to walk away. They have awesome things in their store, you all should check out their website! www.bettiepageclothing.com, there you all go!

After shopping we headed out to the IMAX theater and saw Oz the Great and Powerful! I give the movie 5 stars. It was very entertaining and funny also. I highly recommend it!

Here is the trailor!

That was my weekend in a nut shell! It was so much fun and I loved getting to know Nicole better! Thanks for the fun weekend! I hope everyone gets a chance to see Disney on Ice at some point! You know you all want to!

31 Day blog challenge for March!

So I have decided to try something new and go out on a limb here....like how I said I would take pictures everyday of the month and be on here well its like that again but a little bit different of course. So what happens is they give me a prompt of what to post on here for everyday of March. I figured I would give it a shot.

So here it is:

So day 1 is a self-portrait and 5 random facts about myself!

Or I guess the silly side should come through:

I mustache you a question! But I'll shave it for later!

If you know me well enough, this is completely normal for me! I'm silly most of the time.

Now for the 5 random facts! Here it comes!

1) I was on a cheer/dance team in high school! And yes I did eat two hot dogs and a soda everyday after practice at our favorite gas station called Kwik Trip....If you are from Wisconsin you will understand.

2) I have a crush on a boy.....I won't say who!

3) I have Beiber fever! Though I hate to admit it!

4) I have one brother in Iraq fighting in the army and another brother in Cabo Verde.

5) The Little Mermaid was my favorite movie growing up!

So there you have it! Post number 1!  Now I don't promise that I will post everyday but I will try!

My weekend in California!

This past weekend I was able to go to California with my Mom and Dad! I was so glad to get out of the cold weather and into the nice and sunny weather of Orange County. The air was nice and clear compared to the horrible inversion we have had here in Logan. I felt like I could breathe in deep and so that Friday we got up and got ready and headed to the Salt Lake airport. We boarded our flight and after an hour and a half we landed in the land of Orange county. Walking off the plane and into the 70 degree weather was amazing! We got our rental car and headed to the Hilton that was like right across from the airport and checked in and lost our bags! And guess where we headed to first? If you know the Bruce family well you would have guessed it by now.....

and if you guessed the beach you are correct!

It's coming for me!

We headed straight to Newport beach. Of course we grabbed lunch to eat in the sand. And if you know me very well you would know that I hate birds! I think they are like the ugliest things on the planet. If you stick around me long enough you would know that every animal is attracted to me for some odd reason so I was in for an afternoon of all the pigeons and seagulls attacking me and hovering around me. But it still did not deter from the fact that I was at the beach!

After spending time at the beach we met up with a family friend/family. My uncle Paul and my Dad were great friends growing up and so I heard lots of great stories. We went out to dinner with him and ate at an awesome mexican food place.  After eating we headed back to the hotel and called it a night!

The next day was the most exciting day of my whole weekend. My old mission companion Allie Mckenzie is from Buena Park and she has a season pass to Disneyland so we decided that we would go together! I was able to get in free to both Disneyland and California Adventures. Thanks to my Uncle Paul! I haven't been to Disneyland since I was two years old so it was awesome to be able to go and experience the magic. Of course I had to invest in some mickey ears and other souvenirs. If you have ever been to a theme park you know that they hike up the prices for everything and you still buy things! But its all part of the experience. So Allie and I grabbed a 10 dollar hamburger and ate and then we headed out on our all day experience. We hit up California Adventures for a majority of the day. We went on California Screaming which was by far my favorite ride....okay it may be a tie with the tower of terror. I loved the free falling feeling as the elevator drops you....or the fact you are not sure if you are going up or down. So fun! We also went on the soaring california where it takes you on a hang glider looking thing and you get a basic tour of California. Im scared of heights so that one was a little tough for me.....but it was fun! Well I took a few pictures and they show my excitement better than my words can!

Lego land!
Coolest thing ever!

Of course we went on the Little Mermaid ride!

 Just cruisin' down main street.

I just paid 10 dollars! I couldn't more excited to eat a cheeseburger!

 Cars land was so cool!
We totally kicked butt!

We also went on Mr Toad's Wild Ride because that was my mothers favorite ride when she was younger and would come to Disneyland often. It was a fun ride and we laughed the whole time because its also a weird ride. But to end my experience in disneyland we got fast pass tickets to watch the Disneyland world of colors. If you have never seen it, it is amazing. It is a water show and they project a bunch of movies on the water and a bunch of lights and things. I cant even explain what all happens so you all just need to see it.

Its a little bit long...but its the only good one I could find!

Here is Allie and I enjoying the show!
We are just the cutest!

Thanks Allie for the wonderful day! It was so much fun just laughing and having no care in the world! Its awesome how we can always pick up where we left off the last time we were together. You are great!

I was exhausted that night and totally fell asleep as soon as I got back to the hotel. The next day we of course headed back to the beach. And of course my Dad has this awesome idea that we should rent this huge 6 passenger bike thing.....

So of course in Bruce fashion we do.
We are total tourists!

We drove this bike all over the boardwalk and things and then we parked it and relaxed at the beach for a little while. This whole weekend I have missed my little brother Mitchell. He is currently on his mission in Cabo Verde so of course I had to send him a little love!

We then headed back to the hotel and ordered some pizza and watched the superbowl. And then we headed off to bed and My mom and I headed home the next day. I was dragging my feet the whole way home! I did not like having to come home to cold and nasty weather.....

Thanks Mom and Dad for the awesome weekend! You guys are the best! I love you both!

Weekend adventures in Idaho with crazy friends!

This was one of the unplanned trips on my part! A few weeks ago one of my favorite old companions from the mission texted me and said she would be flying into Utah and driving through Logan to go and visit BYU Idaho! So Allie and Nicole stopped by and spent an hour or so with me just talking and I ended up packing a bag and going along on the adventure! So we hopped in the car and headed over to Rexburg!

When we arrived we stayed in the Super 8 motel....it's not like we can afford better! It smelled pretty bad when we walked in and we only had one queen bed for the three of us but hey...it's all part of the adventure! The first night we met up with a few of the old elders from the mission and watched half of a movie and then headed back to the motel to get some sleep.

The next day we just hung out for a while in the room just watching you tube videos and laughing and talking. And then around 1 we realized we were hungry so we got ready and headed to Applebee's! Seriously one of my favorite places ever:) me and Allie split the 2 for 20 meal and we had entirely too much food! After feeling nourished we hit up the campus. After what seemed like the longest walk of my life...okay I'm just kidding it was a nice campus but you know it's BYU...enough said. After that me and Nicole headed back to the motel and we just hung out. Grabbed some cold stone and hit up the craziest car wash I've ever been in and swam in the motel pool...they told us it was a heated one. But seriously if you are in the pool and you can see your breath it's not heated! They lied! We just about died laughing! After the pool adventures we went and picked up Allie and had so much fun laughing and talking. We pretty much stayed up all night and I ended up moving to the floor.

We definitely didn't want to wake up and missed the early church so we went to a random ward on campus at like 10. That was fun:) we only stayed for sacrament meeting and then we hit the road because it was snowing so bad! The roads were crazy and then after a few hours we finally made it back to my house and we had lunch together and then my two friends hit the road to salt lake!

Not going to lie this was one of those weekends where you fueled blessed to have the friends you do and for the little adventures you have together! I love the friendships I made on my mission! Lifetime friendships! You two girls know who you are! Thanks for the time and the laughter and the adventure!

Here we are! Aren't we cute?

This past month of January!

Okay okay I know it's been like a whole month since I have updated! It's honestly because I have been crazy busy with all the craziness involved in the Bruce house this past month. It's been filled with surgery and work. I am currently working at a Doctors office. And yes it was the place I had the mishap during the interview:). Once again I'm not sure if he hired me for my skills or for MY SKILLS. I'm just there for a few months while the regular nurse is out on maternity leave but it's been great. I have learned so much and I'll be one step ahead when my class starts next month.

Let's see this month I've just been working and I've also been blessed to meet up with a couple from the mission! They were visiting some family in Salt Lake so I was able to spend the day with the Breinholts! I love them so much! We just walked around the city creek mall and laughed and joked. We also played a game of a ticket to ride....it's kind of a tradition of ours because they like to make fun of me for being too competitive. I'm known for blocking everyone;) just warning you now if you ever play with me you better watch out!

I have also picked a word to sum up the year of 2013....and most of you probably know my word is discover! This year I am going to discover more about myself and what I need to do and new friends and places and things...hopefully I will also discover love:) one can only hope! So if you haven't picked a word for your year yet...it's still not too late! You know you want to!

Well I'm lame and this is really short but that's okay you all love me anyway!

Here is me and my good friend Adrienne Breinholt! Enjoy!
